We toured in January. Everything was blue sky and a screened lanai. We closed in April. By July the 4 p.m. storm was a schedule, the A/C bill was a personality, and I understood why people tell you to spend a week here in the weather you will complain about.
The insurance quote was the second price of the house. Inland B Section was easier than the canal streets we also looked at, and still higher than Cleveland. Get wind and flood on the address before you waive anything. A kitchen renovation will not fix a roof the carrier hates.
We like it. The lot is big. There is no HOA color committee. Flagler Beach is fifteen minutes and the parking is still free. I just wish someone had said the first summer is the real tour.
